This quick print helps when taking the Ikea Vindriktning air quality sensor - LINK - and making it smart.
The fantastic "Hacking Ikea" post on raspberrypi.com by Alasdair Allan - LINK - gives the run down on how to make it smart.
The casing allows passing wires (with connectors) out of the Vindriktning body to a custom housing for the Pico. This saves having to fiddle with getting it all to fit back into the housing. It also allows plenty of space for other sensors to be added, direct access to the Pico connection adjusting the code and adding on features.
2 Options for the sliding lid, with and without air grill.
Simple Install -
1. Remove 4 no. screws from back of Vindriktning
2. Hoop onto faceplate
3. Re-use existing screws to sandwich in place.
I have one of mine with my 3D printer to keep an eye on the air quality!!
