Pinewood Derby Weight Plug

This is a quick and easy way to add the right amount of weight to a pinewood derby car.
Drill an 1-1/2" diameter hole into the block just deep enough for the plug to be flush.
A forstner bit will make this easy and ensure a good fit.
Fill the plug up with weight as needed and press it into the hole..
While one is making adjustments, use a self tapping screw in the center to remove the plug.
Secure it with glue when everything is finalized.
One may want to use glue to hold loose weights inside the plug to keep them from shifting around.
