Pinning block for insects

The Kjar Bug Block. This is my "all in one" pinning block. Space for tools/pens/forceps in the top row, two pin holders (cut a piece of foam to put in the bottom if you like), two label/point trays, and the label and specimen level block is built in. Looks great on any desk! There are two forms, the simple and the deluxe (and the left-handed deluxe).

The Deluxe bug block:
I have added my special glue holder and glue lake to the simple design. This attachment holds an Elmer's glue bottle upside down, so it is ready to use, and the glue lake with articulating lid keeps the glue from drying out for hours. For those unfamiliar, pinning small insects often requires paper points, the little lake is for dipping the point. The prong attached to the lid is for the Michener method. Each time you open the lid some glue will be sitting on the end of the prong. You can then touch your pin to the glue drop.
