Pinning Shoe

This simple device retains the sprung pins in a eurocylinder lock as the follower is removed.This is useful when reassembling a lock.I used a large paper clip for the wire (approx 1.7mm dia) and a 4mm bolt.The hole for the bolt is not threaded but has nubs that become a simple thread when the bolt is screwed in.Pinning shoes are usually made from metal but even PLA is strong enough for casual use.
