Planetary Gear Revolver Modification

The original design turns just as well as these planetary gears & original does take less time to print. I just like the look of the planetary gears. I liked this design & seemed like a good candidate for using planetary gears as the revolving base. I started out modeling it in fusion 360 but could not get a gap tolerance as easy as I could using openscad. I used the planetary gear openscad file from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53451 as a starting point to create the model here. If you edit that source, make sure you set preferences/advanced/3D Rendering to Manifold rendering otherwise it will really bog down. I created versions with .1mm, .15mm & .2mm tolerance for the gears. If you do one color printing, .1mm or .15mm might not work. You will probably get a warning when slicing of floating regions. That is because I made the rounded tops on the gears part of the main base & not the planet gears so the 2 colors didn't need to go quite a high. I threaded the bottom Sun gear s
