Planetary Gearset Spinner

*Update August 30, 2017 - I've made a small revision to the RingGear (RingGearRev2 taking it's place). I thought bearing slop was causing my spinner to jam every now and then but started to wonder if my circle while designing the ring gear came off plane and sure enough the gearing circle was slightly oblong (.14mm at max difference). So I've fixed this issue however I'm sure bearing slop is still at play. Next update will include fastener support! As the compression style fittings don't seem to hold up over time and they allow some play.


A planetary gear set made into a functioning planetary gear set fidget spinner!! This design uses five 608 bearings. Spin time and functionality will vary depending on the quality of 608 bearings used. For my build, I used 608ZZ bearings that were fairly cheap so there is a bit of play which at times causes the gears to misalign slowing down/stopping the spin.
