Plant Cutting Holder

This is a simple Thing. I needed a way to hold some cuttings from my Nepenthes Ventrata (carnivorous pitcher plants) so I could get them to root and grow into new (clone) plants. I just did a quick design to be basic and fill that need.

The .stl file is one half of the holder. You print two of them for each cutting you want to root and then put them together inside the ring of a standard canning jar. Put the ring onto the jar with the "bottom" of the cutting pointed down into the jar, fill the jar with water and wait. If you are lucky, the cutting will put out roots and you have a new clone of your favorite plant, ready to be potted.

This will work for other types of plants as well, just so long as the stems are not more than 5mm or 0.19685 in. in diameter. Of course, feel free to modify this thing if you need another size.

P.S. The picture of the plant in the white hanging pot was included to sate any curiosity about what kind of plant this crazy person was talking about.
