Plant Watering Ring

This very simple ring can be pushed into the soil at the base of a garden plant to assist in watering. It helps by holding water poured at the base of the plant and allowing it to soak in more slowly, and with less wasted run-off.

It has a basic latching mechanism so that it can be opened slightly and positioned into place. Push the ring (teeth side down) into the soil until there are no gaps between the ring and the soil. Since the latch is not water-tight, a little water will leak from it, but most of it should soak directly into the roots of the plant.
