Having purchased a number of PlayDoh Presses over the years, I grew tired of the weak design and tried to create a more sturdy, minimal assembly replacement press. Notes on printingSince PETG is frequently moist after travelling the 7-seas in bags that slow down (but do not stop!) moisture ingress, please dry your PETG before attempting this print. Parts manufactured with moist filament will most likely not fit! PartsThis press consists of:A lower press partAn upper handle press partAn extrusion mould (which also fits the original press)In addition, a piece of filament is needed to act as a hinge. AssemblySimply align the hinge lines of the lower press part and the upper handle press part, insert a piece of PETG filament and trim to fit to assemble. The extrusion mould slides into the front “teeth”.Due to the tight tolerances I chose, the press needs to be operated a few times before running smoothly.
