Playable Ukulele - remix - Rounded Neck
I really liked this model, and its sound is quite good even though it's made of plastic, but I was bothered by some things about the design.
- First: The neck with corners.
This makes your thumb suffer a lot depending on the chord you need to play.
I rounded it like the commercial models and it's much more comfortable!
- Second: The tuning pegs are too close to the first fret.
This makes your hand bump into the tuning peg of the A string if you have a big hand and need to play some chords on the first fret. I increased this distance a little!
- Third: The first 3 frets were a little forward, which made the corresponding notes about 15/20Hz higher. I readjusted it and this brought the tuning closer to the ideal
- Lastly, I preferred to make these modifications to the remix model by maaaruuu ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5178137 ) with 10mm tuners and holes in the neck where I used two M8x150mm "carbon fiber" bars, lighter than threaded bars
