This #FunctionalArt piece is a great addition to many décor styles. The entire piece is 3D printed needing only to purchase a rope light kit, Light Bulb and M3 thumbscrew. I used the kind with dimmer control but many different kinds of rope light kits exist. Only the extension arm needs supports for the small extruding end that pushes into the sconce base. Designed with a .4 nozzle in mind these print with good detail at a .2 layer. To assembly you simply need place the rope light over the spool then insert through the support beam. From there just insert the retaining pin for the spool and rest into the support beam. The beam itself press fits into the base, alternatively you can use some glue but press fit works fine and snug. Clean up elephants foot off the print and use a deburring tool to get a nice fit. Finally the M3 thumbscrew will hold the cord in place once you adjust for your desired height. Don't like the shade? I'll have other shades out soon that use the same system so you can interchange to your liking. The shade is a standard bulb shade size of 42mm opening. The lamp cord I used is https://amzn.to/3Q7Sxje You also need an M3 screw (Thumbscrew) some examples are https://amzn.to/44UqnfB I personally used an old one from a dead BMG extruder but any M3 thumbscrew about 20mm long will work. When it comes to hardware, I rely heavily on Bambu Lab 3D printers. My A1 Mini https://rb.gy/uofj5 is a staple in my office, while my fleet of X1C Carbons https://rb.gy/9r2az ensures rapid and high-quality production. #ComissionsEarned which help support my free model development.
