This project was the result of trying to use the Popular Mechanics RC Tank with our own electronics. While trying to do so,
we found that the tank treds would deform the plastic platform causing it to bend in on itself. We wondered if we could
salvage some of the parts from 10$ kit and print our own parts where needed.

You will want to buy the kit for the tank treds at minimum. You may also want to use the canopy, turret, and barrel.

You can find the Popular Mechanics RC Tank kit (PM001) here https://www.amazon.com/Popular-Mechanics-RC-Tank/dp/B00ATSLYY4 .

The hardware you will need:

I used cap-head hex bolts
accessory front& back 6qty 3mm x 10mm bolts & nuts
wheels 4qty 3mm x 25mm bolts & nuts
motor cover 2qty 4mm x 40mm bolts & nuts + 8-10 washers to keep the bolt threads from hitting the floor

I have included the design files. I used Alibre Design v2017.
