The old housing slider was not securing and the USB connector was collecting pocket lint. This was designed with a loose fit so uncalibrated, or loosely calibrated printers should be good (0.5mm expanded tolerance).
You may need to flip it in your slicer. I had to in Cura, it didn't matter which way I flipped it in Inventor.
