Pocket size chess set

This chess set consists of an 8x8x5 centimeter box of chess pieces with the lid as the board.

I encourage you to scale this up as you wish, but I modeled this to be printed with the easythreed X1.

This is great for playing chess on the go, impressing your friends with your tiny chess set, or just seeing how some beetles show their strategical wit.

Beetles are terrible strategists.

Of course, post printing paint will be needed. The hinge rod is any paperclip glued in place. Due to the size of the set, you may need to attach magnets or velcro to the board and pieces. Future versions will have slots for small magnets for that and the lid as well.

I am currently working on a good snapping clip or other locking mechanism for the box to keep it closed.
