I am a big fan of the PocketCHIP. I bought my a little before NextThingCo insolvency. I really enjoy playing pico-8 games on it. I even developed some games of my own using the PocketCHIP (https://eduszesz.itch.io). But the keyboard of the device is not that good for long playing sessions, so I design a controller mod in Freecad. It has a D-pad and z and x buttons and a frame to hold them in place.

General dimensions were obtained from PocketCHIP Keyboard Faceplate
by vjapolitzer (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1998427)

I'm using the controller mod for almost three years now and there was no need to replace any parts so far. I did the design and printing back in 2018 and totally forgot to upload them to Thingiverse.

The frame is the only part that needs support material.

To perform the assembly it is necessary to remove the original frame around the screen and substitute that for the printed one. The new frame will hold the D-pad and buttons in place
