I designed this poker chip tray for game nights with friends. The tray has markings to quickly determine chip stack values. The tray is graduated on the left column of the tray based on each chip = $1. The right side and middle column graduations are based on a chip = 25 cents. The graduations are based on a standard 40mm diameter clay poker chip approximately 3.18 mm thick. While trying to figure out the graduations I realized that the chips I have vary slightly in thickness between 3.16mm and 3.20mm. The different colors can vary the thickness as well and even thermal expansion when handling the chips. 3.18 mm was found to be "close enough" so the chips may not line up perfectly with the markings but are sufficiant to quickly determine stack values.
A swing up gate was added to hold chips in the tray when passing the tray between players or dealers. When the gate
is swung down it doubles as a support for inclining the front of the tray. The gate is attached by 2 M2 X12 mm bu
