Polonium 209 has 84 protons in white. The blue spheres are neutrons in this simulated nucleus. Polonium is the lightest element to be so radioactive, if you do not count the cube-4 elements Tc, Pm, Pa, Og. Polonium has a cube-3. It decays because the bottom pyramid-4 juts out. The nucleus is shaped like a dart, but Po has a barb on its tail. That is the geometric reasoning that explains the physics of Po 209.

Polonium nuclear structure is discussed next to Nihonium in my website
