This is a molecular model of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT), created using molfidget. P3HT is a π-conjugated polymer that has been extensively studied for its semiconducting properties and potential applications in organic solar cells.In this model, all single bonds are rotatable. You can extend the polymer chain by printing additional copies of the central monomer unit.The printed model presents the atomic groups of the monomer as separate parts. Some carbon atoms come pre-connected; you complete the assembly by manually attaching the remaining atoms.
