I wanted a portable power box to provide power for my amateur radio activities. I purchased a couple of TalentCell LF120A1 12V 12Ah LiFePO4 batteries and the specs on these were excellent for my purpose. I needed a way to contain them and provide the connections I needed.
I purchased a small ammo box at Harbor Freight for about $5 and the fit was excellent so I designed this project to provide a place to mount the power connections and hold everything in place. This worked well, but I saw the Sheffield Field boxes on Amazon and they come in a variety of colors. So I ordered one of them and it fit perfectly also. In the pictures is my orange Sheffield box.
Assembly requires 2 #6 x 3/8 screws. These could be used with nuts, but the fit was close enough that there were not required required. They are used to attach the battery conver to the panel bottom.
