A prototype I'm working on that makes a potentiometer act like a rotary switch. The larger part goes between the face of the potentiometer and the nut that is used to fasten the potentiometer to a face plate. The smaller part has a hole that should be tapped for a set screw. The smaller part goes over the knob of the potentiometer. The bump on the knob will snap into the grooves of the other part, making the potentiometer snap into 1 of 13 different positions. The potentiometer should be used as a voltage divider and send voltage to an analog input of a digital circuit.
