Scrapers and shapers are similar to ribs, but are usually lighter weight and are used to smooth wet or soft leather hard clay and are generally made of steel, wood or plastic.Honestly, I prefer such tools made from wood, but making them from hardwood is expensive (in time and money) and you need to replace them quite often, because those tools tend to break, get damaged by water (and dogs 😂) and quite often i find myself searching the buckets and under the desk for a tool that was there yesterday...
