***Important: Put the filter on the adapter first, then on the Power Cap***
This is a filter adapter for the JSP Power Cap Active IP Powered Respirator. This mask is a recent find of mine. I have a full beard and so conventional full faced (or even half faced) masks don't seal. This is a forced air mask. It has a fan that pulls air through the filters and blows into the mask creating positive pressure so no tight seal is necessary. It's perfect for people with facial hair that need a mask; however, the filters for the mask only come in "dust" filtering, not fumes or other gases. They also reversed the lug design so that you can't use non PowerCap filters, and they want outrageous prices for "their" filters.
This adapter allows for the use of standard 3M Bayonet Connector filters of any kind to be used with the PowerCap. Eventually I'll add a threaded adapter and perhaps others as I see a use.
The gasket template included is for cutting out gasket material for the Power
