Power Wheels Hub Adapter

“Dad, I want big wheels like your car” One simple request from my son led to this. These hub adapters are to suit hand trolley wheels that you can get from most hardware stores like Bunnings, which is where these ones came from. They're cheap and inexpensive, it should be noted that they are an offset wheel with a total bore length of 50mm from bearing to bearing. The hubs are designed to just press up against the back of the wheel and drive the wheel from the bolts that go through to hold them together. No need to unbolt the wheels or anything like that, you just remove the old wheels, fit the sleeves, press the hub onto the back of the new wheels and fit onto the sleeved axles. The sleeves just make the difference between the 16mm (5/8) internal bearing diameter of the new wheel and the 12mm diameter of the axles, they don't spin since the bearings in the new wheels take care of that unlike the old wheels that used to spin on the axles.
