Powercon splitter

Powercon splitters are expensive. why buy when you can make it yourself? i used a 3 way outdoor junction box for the enclosure http://a.co/i8O4Pjc.

I needed a way to drill 24mm holes in the junction box so i made the powercon hole template. hold the template on the junction box and drill the 2 smaller holes. bolt the template onto the junction box. then use a 24mm forstner bit to drill the bigger hole. here is the bit i used: http://a.co/76OcH1X

I used 14awg silicone wire to make all the connections. 2 pieces cut at 4" and soldered together in the middle, then cover the joint with shrink wrap. do this for the red, black, and green wires.

you will need to print 4 copies of the powercon spacer. the ones in the photos were too short and i did not want to reprint them so i printed a second spacer. the one included in the downloads is the correct height of 17mm.
