This is a filament cutting jig i designed. I needed to cut some specific lengths of filament for use as pins in another project, so I made this jig. You insert the filament on the left as far in as it will go, then you use a razor knife to cut the filament, passing the blade though a slot. The rightmost slot makes a 6mm long pin, and the one next to that makes an 8mm long pin, and so on. After the 8mm slot is a longer slot, signifying its 10mm. The next long slot is 20mm, then the last long slot is 30mm. If you want to make a pin longer than 10 or 15mm, then you should straiten out the filament before inserting it, otherwise it gets wedged in due to its curvature. You don't have to use a razor knife, but the slots are pretty tight, so a wider blade might not fit. This jig cuts the filament to the desired length with a precision of ±0.2mm. WARNING: Always be careful when using sharp blades!
