Precision Arbor Press

This is a precision arbor press that I built and assembled for a project where we assemble some components on a fixture and needed a press that had a well supported ram and a reasonable amount of travel. Many of the small arbor presses I could find were either too short of travel (and expensive) or not well designed (cheap). This project requires a fair amount of machining - including wire EDM work (or gear hobbing) for the ram itself.
