TL;DR This fits directly to the Pro-Ject VC-E Vinyl Cleaning Machine, redirecting the vacuum exhaust down the side of the machine.
The Pro-Ject VC-E Vinyl Cleaning Machine famously has a major design flaw in which the vacuum exhaust port blows air straight up into the bottom of the freshly cleaned record. I've seen numerous posts on audiophile forums in which plastic bubble packaging is used along side electrical tape to redirect the airflow.
I designed this as a better looking permanent/removable alternative to bubble packaging.
This item slides over the lip of the unit, covering the exhaust hole, sending the air down the side of the machine. It must be lined with tape in order to hold the unit in place and make a reasonable air tight seal. I prefer to use blue painters tape to prevent tape residue. The cover has to be removed from time to time in order to drain the fluid reservoir.
I decided to make this wide vs narrow in order to reduce the amount obstruction to the m
