Project based on laser measuring unit, but can use other distance measuring methods between the sensor and the disc. Amount of liquid in tank determinates position of floater which determinates the distance between the laser sensor and the reflection disc mounted on floater. Simple equations are transforming the distance into amount of liquid in tank. Laser sensor after manufacturing stage is being calibrated in laboratory to suit type of tank etc. Air pipe diameter used in projects is big enough to allow air movements between the inside of floaters pipe and the tank, but small enough to prevent getting the liquid inside. Small air pipe diameter will also prevent from dynamic floater movements while accelerating, breaking, turning. Bottom of tank is being profiled to allow whole system to drain fully, and lower tank will prevent the last amounts of liquid to get out to a place impossible to drain. Example: long drive on the highway will move the liquid on a side of a tank. Small movements of liquid will allow it to drain inside the lower tank, and from this point flange in between the tanks will prevent from getting out in bigger amount. Whole system is being easily replaceable from upper side, and a locking element is preventing floater from getting out from the pipe.
