Propagation Pod – Free STL
This is a snap-together air-layering pod designed for propagating tomato plants (and similar soft-stem plants) directly on the vine.
The pod clamps around an existing stem, allowing you to pack moist soil, coco coir, or sphagnum moss around the node. Roots form inside the pod while the plant is still attached and actively growing. Once rooted, the new plant can be cut free and transplanted with an established root ball.
Features
Two-piece clamshell design for easy installation and removal
Internal cavity sized to encourage dense root growth
Stem cutouts to avoid crushing or damaging the vine
Reusable and lightweight
No tools required once printed
How to Use
Lightly wound or scrape the stem at a node (optional but recommended)
Pack the pod with damp growing medium
Snap it around the stem and secure
Keep the medium moist
After roots form, cut below the pod and transplant
Printing Notes
Prints cleanly on most FDM printers
PLA, PETG, or ASA all w
