This slider is a portable slider that can be mounted on a tripod. It uses 8mm smooth rods, and LM8UU bearings. An assembly video will be coming soon. It utilizes a pulley system to allow for twice the travel in half the size. It will fit in your tripod bag. I used whatever I could find around the house to make this. For my project, I used PropsFactory's 3d printable linear bearings found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24990
These work okay for this project, but this project is a little too heavy for the plastic bearings, so I could recommend spending the money on some quality linear bearings. This will allow for a heavier camera to be used. OPTIONAL: You may want to drill and tap the endow the rods in the end blocks to keep it sturdy and straight. I used screws that I found in my garage, so you will need to experiment. For the pulleys, I used some par cord, but if you have some belts eating around, those would work great. Just be sure to pick something that isn't elastic. I ho
