This object is a protective layer for a microscope objective. It is useful if your sample is boiling, jumping or may explode ^^. I use it for adhesion tests where a membrane in put under pressure until is no longer adhere or explode...
One M3 10mm screw is used to fix the holder onto the objective and a slide cover is fixed on the base to act as window. Using small amounts of sticky paste (blutack) to maintain the cover works well.
You can chose between 3 sizes (10, 20 and 30mm long) depending on your objective length. The diameter should be between 32 an 28 mm.
Supports are necessary during printing
