Pull Thru Measurement Tool

This is a design I made to measure lengths of sandpaper that my company sells in their retail store, by the foot.

Customers will pull out however much sandpaper they'd like from the dispenser and take it to the register. The sandpaper will then be ran through this device, and the customer will be charged by the foot (whatever is displayed on the counter).

Essentially, this device can be used to measure any type of flat material (fabric, paper, etc)
