Version 1 has pegs but depending on the printer might need glue.Version 2 has hook pegs that snap together really nice and tight.Read Description. This spins one way. Clockwise. The gear needs to go on only one way. Do not snap it together till you make sure it spins and clicks clockwise. If not flip the gear over. The little extra work is worth it for this model. Great for Halloween which isn't far off. Youtube video in comments to help with assembly.
