Purge Stack: Torre di Equilibrio

This project transforms one of the most common byproducts of 3D printing—purge waste and filament scraps—into the core element of a functional and interactive game. Instead of discarding these irregular pieces, they are directly reused as structural components, embracing their random shapes, sizes, and imperfections The game consists of modular bases that can be stacked vertically. Each base features four uniquely shaped slots, designed to hold filament waste pieces (“purge scraps”) in unstable configurations. Players take turns placing a new base on top of the structure, carefully positioning it over the uneven surface created by the scraps below. As the tower grows, the natural irregularity of the waste material creates increasing instability. Every piece behaves differently, making each layer unpredictable and every game unique.
