A challenge was laid down infront of me to build a bed fort.
Using the mounting holes for an upper bunk bed and 1in PVC, this was my answer.
pieces:
- base mount . accepts the vertical and 45deg support. The 2 piece version allows for printing without supports and some versatility in mounting the frame to different surfaces. Adapters will be added as applications see fit.
- Corner. initially intended to use pieces from the hardware store, but none were available. this is an XYZ orientation that should be obvious. the flat back version needs no support.
- Strut support. Hollow piece slides freely to allow for fine tuning before tightening the set screw. 'Clean' version removed all the ugly failed seams, chamfers and pipes covering inconsistencies that I still haven't quite mastered.
I printed these with 22% infill and 2mm walls. they shouldnt need the extra strength, but it couldnt hurt.
Update 7/10/2019. replaced the threaded base with refactored int
