Qidi Plus4 side-mount spool holder

A simple clip-on spool holder on the left side of the Plus4
Placing the 1 kg spool lower down reduces the impact of having such a heavy item so far from the printer's centre of gravity. As a bonus, it allows one to see at a glance how much filament is left on the spool, instead of having to crane one's neck to view the filament from the side.
This prints in two extremely simple parts, with no need for supports of any kind. The smaller part (the “clip”) is then superglued to the main part. Couldn't be easier, and no need to go scratching in your parts box for tiny screws.
The main part consists of the spool roller, and a filament guide. The smaller part is the clip which fits over the lip of the printer under the handle. The grip is secure and robust, and very easy to mount. See the screenshot for printbed orientation.
You will need:
(1) About 150g of filament. PLA is perfect. “Standard” Qidi filament settings work fine. See screenshots for printer settings.
