Printed in PLA with 4 walls and 10% infill, this holder reuses the original screws to attach to the machine. However, you will need four additional M3 x 14mm screws to secure the sensor to the holder, as shown in the pictures.

You will also need to replace the filament tubing between the sensor and the print head with a 36" (91.4 cm) length of new tubing. I swapped mine for a more translucent tube to improve visibility, replacing the original blue tubing.

To accommodate the cable exiting from the back, you must create a notch either on the machine frame or on the cover. On my machine, I made the notch directly on the frame; it’s a bit untidy but functional. You can choose whichever option suits your setup. Unless you replace the cable with a longer one, making this notch is necessary. The pictures demonstrate that this solution works well.

After relocating the filament sensor and installing the new spool holder, loading filament is much easier.
