A quadruped robot with the capability of computer-vision-based tracking and following. This project was created for a university capstone project. The model is based on an existing open-source project (https://grabcad.com/library/diy-quadruped-robot-1). Associated code was created by my team and can be found here: https://github.com/JackDemeter/quadruped-robot The exact components that I used on this project: Electronics: - R.Pi 3B - R.Pi Camera v2 - R.Pi 20cm ribbon cable (I used 50cm which was too much and 10cm is too short) - Servo Motors (https://www.amazon.ca/Longruner-MG996R-Digital-Helicopter-LKY62/dp/B01MTW06IU/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=Z0jlu&pf_rd_p=c27c49c8-539c-45fa-bcfc-e8243c666aea&pf_rd_r=7C4TTTSW98Y9QCQK2WBK&pd_rd_r=26406506-982d-4cf7-b50f-ad38a218a2ff&pd_rd_wg=ZIg8x&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m&th=1) - 16-Channel PWM Driver [PCA9685] (https://store.qkits.com/16-channel-12-bit-pwm-servo-driver-i2c-interface-pca9685-for-arduino-or-raspberry-pi-shield-module-servo-shield.html) - Buck converter (https://store.qkits.com/dc-step-down-voltage-regulator-5-amps.html) - Note: Make sure that any buck converter you do buy is able to handle at least 5.1V @ 3 amps! - Valken Lipo Battery [7.4v 1200mah] (https://www.valken.com/products/battery-valken-energy-lipo-7-4v-1300mah-30c-peq-15) - Note: I cut off the mini tamiya connector and used an XT-60 (https://store.qkits.com/xt60-male-female-cable-connector.html) because it was hard to source cheap/local tamiyas. Hardware: - Wood plank (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/alexandria-moulding-poplar-craft-s4s-1-4x4x4-feet/1000408505) - 4x0.5" wood/metal screws (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/paulin--4-x-1-2-inch-flat-head-square-drive-steel-wood-screws-zinc-plated-100pcs/1000140508) - 6-32x1.25" machine screw (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/paulin--6-32-x-1-1-4-in-round-head-square-slot-drive-steel-machine-screws-zinc-plated-23pcs/1000113755) - 6-32 nut (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/paulin--6-32-hex-machine-screw-nu
