Quarto

Players take turns choosing a piece which the other player must then place on the board. A player wins by placing a piece on the board which forms a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row of four pieces, all of which have a common attribute (all short, all circular, etc.).
Quarto is distinctive in that there is only one set of common pieces, rather than a set for one player and a different set for the other.

Die Spieler wählen abwechselnd eine Figur aus, die der andere Spieler dann auf den Spielplan legen muss. Ein Spieler gewinnt, indem er eine Figur auf das Brett legt, die eine horizontale, vertikale oder diagonale Reihe von vier Figuren bildet, die alle ein gemeinsames Attribut haben (alle kurz, alle kreisförmig usw.).
Quarto zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass es nur einen Satz gemeinsamer Teile gibt, nicht einen Satz für einen Spieler und einen anderen für den anderen.
