Quartz Clock Movement Spacer

I found that the common quartz clock movements (whether AA battery, AAA battery, or AC powered) have a tendency to come loose and spin loose while adjusting the time or position of the hands despite using the appropriate locking washer & nuts (including doubling up the nuts to serve as jamnuts). I was also finding on some installations the movements would have too much play, throwing the handle spindle off perpendicular/plum resulting in the hands making contact with either the clock face or dial glass at certain positions.

To eliminate these problems, this spacer can be installed between the movement & the clock face and they snap on and "grip" the movement so it cannot turn. The extra friction keeps the movement from coming loose. Add as many spacers as necessary (they're stackable) and forgo any fastners/washers/nuts between the movement & the clock face.

It is a simple and primitive design.
