Build your own TIC (Twisting Interlocking Cube) puzzle prototype with Qubits! As a TIC puzzle designer and enthusiast I find it very hard to prototype a TIC puzzle due to the rotations. Burr tools can help with interlocking puzzles but without rotations, so you can get some ideas from there and then try to design a version with rotations, but will they work? These qubits are reusable, so you don't have to waste a ton of plastic for failed models. You can also print them in different colours for each big puzzle piece. There is also a tight version, a loose version and an even looser version of the qubit: use the looser version for rapid prototyping, where you have to iterate many times the shape of each piece. However, once you settle for a specific shape for a specific piece, use the loose or tight versions to make that piece almost solid (they sometimes need some encouragement with a hammer and they will stay connected very solidly).
