Quick Picks
These were invented by WestCoastPicks 9 years ago.
I have been making and using them but saw no one upload any files.
The files are:
"Quick Pick" with one pick or rake etc. and up to two tension tools.
Dimensions: 80 x 14 x 8mm
"Quick Pick 4x4" with two picks and up to two tension tools.
Dimensions 100 x 15 x 12mm
I used old wiper blade inserts which are roughly 4mm x 0.7mm = 0.150" x0.030" = 1/3 " x 1/32".
The slots are 5mm x 1mm. If any part is too loose, just add a slight bend to it.
The 'tangs' must be narrower than the top sliding slot. You can make them long and curl up with needle nose plyers.
Or cut short and glue on a button.
If you can get tang 'just right' it could clip in pocket like a pen (re-make)?
There is a built in 'ramp' at the back of this slot to lift tang as pick is inserted.
It is guaranteed that at some point you will get poked and draw blood.
