My two-year-old loves Disney's Little Einsteins, so naturally I went looking for toys. Apparently nobody makes Little Einsteins toys any more, and the used ones go for ridiculous prices on EBay and Amazon. So what's a father with a 3D printer to do? Make one, of course!

Print in Ninjaflex for a durable toy that works well for bath time too. For the print in the photo, I split the part in two halves and used a hot knife to remove support material on the fins and antenna. Heat a thin metal spatula over a candle and slide it between the two halves to fuse them together. Glue doesn't work very well on Ninjaflex.

I printed mine half-size in white and colored with permanent markers... the red came out pink, but my kiddo still loves it. I'd recommend using red filament as a base instead if you want it to look like Rocket from the cartoon.

*update: I reprinted at 3/4 scale in semiflex, and that works as well as ninjaflex. An adjustable-temperature hot knife was used to flow
