Using CATIA, I successfully completed the assembly of a radial engine utilizing the bottom-up assembly approach. This method involves constructing the assembly by first assembling individual components together, gradually forming a complete unit. Each part is meticulously designed and placed to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality. Beginning with the core components, such as the crankshaft and cylinders, I meticulously assembled each part, ensuring precise alignment and fitment. As the assembly progressed, additional elements such as pistons, connecting rods, and camshafts were added, carefully aligning each piece to the predetermined specifications. Attention to detail was paramount throughout the assembly process, with particular focus on ensuring proper clearances, tolerances, and functionality of moving parts. Utilizing CATIA's robust tools and features, I was able to simulate the operation of the radial engine, verifying its performance and identifying any potential issues. By employing the bottom-up assembly approach in CATIA, I was able to create a highly intricate and functional radial engine assembly, showcasing both technical proficiency and attention to detail.
