Rag Basket Template

My sister in-law runs a non profit for local teachers. She has a bunch of old CD's and file folders that they are trying to use up. She wants to turn them into woven baskets using cut up T-shirts as the weaving material. I came up with this design that fits a CD perfectly in the center to provide some additional support for the bottom of the basket. Use Guide: Trace the rays of the stencil onto a legal sized thick folder. Once the initial trace is completed, turn the stencil to line up one of the rays with the outside tracing. Then trace the stencil again. Repeat this process until there are 15 rays traced around the center. Cut out the traced pattern from the folder. Attach CD to folder using glue. Perform additional cuts all the way to the CD, as the stencil gets too tight to fit a pencil all the way. Use a hole punch to remove a small hole about 1cm from the tip of the rays. Using torn up T-shirts or any spare fabric, begin weaving the fabric in and out of the rays. The next layer s
