If those words mean anything to you in that particular order, then you'll understand how these rulers could be useful:Use the right-angle ruler to measure things along the bottom and trued-up sides of your blank, such as rail band heights, tuck width, and bottom cutlap width.Use the 6-degree ruler to measure things along the crowned deck of your blank, such as rail band and cutlap widths.Use the scriber attachment to make a shallow impression into your foam, as a visual aid for laying out cutlap tape.Use the pencil holder attachment and your favorite regular-sized pencil (I like the soft 6B and 12B pencils you can get from art supply stores) to mark out rail bands and things.These rulers are also useful for measuring finished boards that you want to profile.Keep handshaping alive!
