This is a design for an old fashion non-electronic rain gauge.

You need to purchase a clear tube. I used a 4' Clear Polycarbonate Tubing, 1-1/8" ID, 1-1/4" OD tube from Amazon (part number B000OMFLE4) and cut it down to 14-18". You can make three of these from a single tube.

The printed parts are a stopper for the tube bottom, a funnel for the top, a holder for the bottom, a clamp for the top, and a holder that grabs the clamp at the top.

All of these should be pretty easy to print without support. I used PETG (since this will be outside and will be wet at times. ABS would probably work just as well, but PLA is likely a poor choice for something outdoors. I used 25% infill

The top and bottom mounts are designed to screw into a mast or to the top portion of a fence. The top of the funnel should be above any close obstacles (like a fence), otherwise the amount of rain will be impacted by the direction of wind and the proximity to the obstacle.
