This is a lamp that includes slots for holding 12 six inch segments of LED tape, as well as a slot for color gels to mix specific colors of light. This project requires soldering and electronics knowledge, as well as cutting lots of color gels to size. If you have access to a laser cutter, the gels can be cut much more efficiently.
Print and superglue the front and back sections together. These will hold your LED tape in place while you solder the connections. Keep all other pieces separate for now.
Cut the LED tape into 12 six inch segments, and line them up with the positive contacts facing towards your right. Remove the silicone from the contact pads that are closest to you with a razor blade. Scrape the copper pad until it is shiny. With the tape segments mostly inserted into the frame, make small jumper connections between all of the positive copper pads.
Place 12 switches into the "button tray." Solder jumpers between all of the tabs on the bottom, and fold the tab down to fit
