Summary Important Note: If you plan to print this for Halloween and only have one printer, allow approximately 10 days for the entire process. This project is a remix of MakerBot's impressive Ram Skull model, designed to be a massive and detailed piece. Features and Modifications Scale and Filament Use: This model is huge, requiring about 5 KG of filament (2 KG for the skull in white and 3 KG for the horns in tan). Design Adjustments: The eyes have been repositioned to the front, creating a hybrid appearance of a human and ram skull. Fit and Comfort: Designed for my daughter, it may not fit larger adults comfortably and is not recommended for small children due to its weight. Memory foam and felt have been added inside for comfort (as shown in the fourth picture). Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: i3 MK2.5 Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.35mm Infill: 5% Filament Brand: Inland Filament Material: PLA Additional Notes Resolution and Print Time: Printing at a higher resolution will significantly increase print time. The model looks very good at a 0.35mm layer height, which balances detail and print speed. Print Parts: The model consists of 16 parts, with the longest part taking approximately 30 hours to print. Perimeters: Use at least 4 perimeters to prevent pin holes from breaking during assembly. Infill: The 5% infill setting keeps the model lightweight without compromising structural integrity. This massive and detailed print is ideal for impressive display or costume use, combining both aesthetic appeal and thoughtful design adjustments for comfort and practicality.
