Rapid-Tome

The Rapid-Tome is a hand-held microtome for sectioning high aspect ration fresh tissue samples like plant stems and roots. This tool is part of an open source publication in BMC Plant Methods. The paper can be found here:

This version here on Thingiverse is an updated and improved version after feedback from users. Original files are available in the paper.

UPDATE: I have redesigned the handle to incorporate a 3D printed advancement screw in the file "Rapid-Tome Version 2 Handle and Printed Advancement Screw." This handle is compatible with the current slider and stage models.
